Alice Timmerman, DVM

Dr. Alice Timmerman

Dr. Alice Timmerman is a 1994 graduate of Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She received a BA in biology at Coe College and did primate research at the University of Wisconsin - Madison before entering veterinary school. She was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa but has lived and practiced in Michigan, Seattle, and Kansas before moving with her husband back to Iowa in 2005. She built and opened the Vinton-Urbana Veterinary Hospital - a small animal practice in the spring of 2010.

She practices progressive medicine and surgery. Her vaccine philosophy is to assess the risks and needs of each individual pet and vaccinate accordingly. She is proactive in preventive medicine, surgery, and diagnostics. Other interests include non-traditional pets.

Dr. Timmerman is currently the President-Elect of the Linn County Veterinary Medical Association and is also a member of the AVMA and IVMA.

In addition to her husband, Mike Myers, her household consists of "Lily" an Irish Wolfhound, "Gravy" their interloper feline, and "Roger" the Quarter Horse.

 

 

Kristen Kane, Veterinary Technician

Kristen Kane Veterinary Technician

Kristen attended Kirkwood Veterinary Technician School. She also studied abroad in Australia for three weeks. She’s been at the Vinton-Urbana Veterinary Hospital since July 2012.

Her veterinary interests include diagnostics (radiographs and lab work).

Her hobbies include reading and watching movies.

She lives in Raymond, Iowa, and shares her house with "Charlie" the cat.

 

 

 

 

Alisa Peer, Veterinary Technician

Alisa Peer

Alisa Peer is a transplant from Havasu, Arizona.

She was born in Orange County, CA and moved to Arizona where her love for all animals became apparent.

She started working in veterinary medicine at the age of 15. She moved to Iowa in 2015 and has been working with us since October 2016.

Her hobbies include: bowling, fishing, boating, movies, and spending time her pets which include: 2 dogs, 1 crazy cat, and a sugar glider.

 

 

 

 

Bailey Jedlicka, Veterinary Technician

Bailey Jedlicka, Veterinary Technician

Bailey Jedlicka is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2015 and joined our team in December 2015.

Her interests are in all aspects of small animal medicine. She is fond of her two dogs, “Bella” and “Abel” and one cat, “Loki.”

She grew up on a hobby farm that includes a wide variety of animals both large and small.

She enjoys reading, horseback riding, watching movies, and archery.
